Kala Arevalo brings a deep-rooted passion and extensive experience to the practice of family law. She began her legal career at just 19 years old as a paralegal, working full-time while earning her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and her J.D. from Texas A&M School of Law. Growing in an environment deeply involved in family law, Kala’s understanding of the field goes beyond her years of formal licensure—it’s part of her DNA.
Kala is especially committed to cases involving children, driven by a lifelong dedication to child advocacy. Her compassionate approach and firsthand experience allow her to connect with families on a personal level while guiding them through complex and often emotional legal matters. Her mission is to help children and parents navigate the challenges of divorce, custody disputes, and family transitions with empathy and strength.

At Cruz Arevalo, P.C., Kala handles a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, custody modifications, enforcements, adoptions, name changes, and terminations. She has significant experience working with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, where she has represented both parents and children involved in CPS matters. In addition to her litigation work, Kala is a qualified mediator in civil, family, and CPS cases.
